Hi! My name is Amber Butterfield & I am a kindergarten teacher at Queen's School. This is my 7th year teaching and my 2nd year here at Queen's and I couldn't be happier!
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago where I attended catholic school Prek-12th grade. In 2010, I graduated from Western Michigan University with my bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a ZA endorsement in Early Childhood. I moved back home after graduation and taught my first four years for the Arch Diocese of Chicago teaching kindergarten and Preschool. I also taught 3rd grade for two years here in Jackson, one year being at Queen's.
In 2013, my husband and I got married and in 2014 we moved to Jackson, were he was born and raised. In April of 2015 we welcomed our daughter Harper into the world.
I absolutely LOVE teaching and am excited beyond words to be back teaching kindergarten. It is my favorite grade to teach! Kindergarten is such an important year for your children and I am thankful to spend my year with them.
